@ObservedFIREFLY what kinda PSU is that? 680w @ 31 USD?
January 12th, 2012 at 01:30
@KyleProTechGuy True I guess. Vram is probably more important than system ram. I have a HD4850 with a duo core processor. compare GTA 4 perfromance with a q6600 and a 8600GT. The 8600 wins by a huge margin. But for PC games like L4D2 and Dead Island, the CPU and ram don’t seem to make a difference.

January 22nd, 2012 at 01:06
I’m trying to build a low budget gaming computer for under 500 dollars. Heres what I I’m thinking.
AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition – $124.99
ASUS M4N68T-M V2 - motherboard – $54
Modtek Alien X2 Case – $50
XFX Radeon HD 4850 Graphics card – $85
Corsair Power Supply – $60
Western Digital 500 gb HDD – $80
4 GB DDR3 RAM – $44
Am I missing anything? Do i need a sound card? New to the scene.

how do you install an os on an SSD? for faster boot up
January 24th, 2012 at 20:03
@piplup10203854 Disconnect the regular harddrive and select your ssd as first boot in BIOS,then boot up with a cd in and install:)
January 24th, 2012 at 21:53
@iBobotastic No, you do not need a sound card, most mobos these days have solid sound.
